Dream Star Fighting Marigold viene realizando su gira Grand Opening Wars 2024 luego del rotundo éxito de su primer show en Korakuen Hall el pasado 20 de mayo. La empresa liderada y fundada por Rossy Ogawa, y con Fuka como productora, ha armado un roster solido con talento consolidado y jovenes prospectos para la escena de lucha libre femenina.
Antes de Summer Destiny 2024, el primer show PPV de la compañía que se realizará el 13 de julio, Pep S. Caro tuvo la oportunidad de entrevistar a Miku Aono. Conocida como “Brilliant Future (Futuro Brillante)”, Miku respondió varias de las preguntas de Pep. Los temas fueron sobre el inicio de su carrera, experiencia en Actwres girl’Z, su presente en Marigold, Fuka, Giulia, Utami Hayashishita, su vida personal, oponente soñado y más.

Entrevista con Miku Aono: Lo profesional y lo personal
Pep: El 25 de junio celebrarás tu séptimo aniversario como luchadora profesional. ¿Podrías contarnos cuándo y por qué decidiste convertirte en luchadora?
Miku: ¡Un conocido mío que es actor en 2017 me presentó al representante de Actwres girl’Z, el Sr. Sakaguchi! ¡Me invitaron a unirme a la lucha libre profesional porque estaban seguros de que podía convertirme en una estrella! Pep: En los shows más recientes de Marigold, te has enfrentado a Utami Hayashishita en combates en pareja. Pep: Marigold ya ha presentado sus campeonatos individuales y sabemos que habrá
también campeonatos de parejas. En AWG fuiste campeón en ambas modalidades. ¿Estás interesada en competir por un campeonato individual o en parejas? En el caso de Tag Team, ¿a quién del roster actual de Marigold elegirías como compañero?
Miku: Primero quiero un cinturón individual. Vine aquí para hacerme brillar. No estoy segura de quién podría ser mi compañera de equipo en este momento, pero espero encontrar a alguien con quien quiera formar equipo a medida que avanzan los combates.
Pep: Has competido la mayor parte de tu carrera en AWG y ahora estás en Marigold, pero también tuvo algunos combates en Ice Ribbon, Ganbare Pro y AJPW. En tu experiencia, ¿qué diferencia encuentras entre estas empresas y su enfoque hacia la lucha libre?

Miku: ¡Me gustaría competir contra Kairi Sane!
Nunca la conocí, pero escuché mucho sobre Kairi del representante de Actwres girl’Z, el Sr. Sakaguchi.
Además, mi combate debut fue contra Natsumi Maki (ahora Natsupoi), y el día de mi combate debut, Natsumi peleó conmigo con un traje que le dio Kairi, así que siento en cierto modo que ella fue otra oponente en mi debut.

Miku: ¡No tengo una unidad en mente en este momento! ¡Creo que sería bueno tener una relación con alguien con quien me gustaría hacer algo además de ser un compañero de equipo!
Pep: 2024 ha consistido en cerrar capítulos y empezar nuevas aventuras para ti. ¿Podrías contarnos cuáles son tus objetivos para la segunda mitad del año y cómo planeas conseguirlos?

Pep: Esto no es una pregunta pero queríamos pedirte que enviaras un saludo a tus fans de Latinoamérica y España, países donde se habla español, que siguen tu trabajo y que, a pesar de la distancia y la barrera del idioma, están felices por tú y ellos quieren verte seguir creciendo como luchador y como persona.
Miku: ¡Gracias por tomarte el tiempo de leer mi entrevista! Estoy muy feliz de estar aquí en Marigold y de poder dar a conocer a Miku Aono a personas de todo el mundo de esta manera.

Pep: On June 25 you will celebrate your seventh anniversary as a pro wrestler. Could you tell us when and why you decided to become a wrestler?
Miku: I was introduced to the representative of Actwres girl’Z, Mr. Sakaguchi, by an acquaintance of mine who is an actor in 2017! I was invited to join pro wrestling because they were sure I could become a star! At first, I thought, “I can’t do pro wrestling!” I had declined the invitation, but the representative was so enthusiastic that I decided to join a practice session. I had always liked to move my body, so I thought the practice was fun and was happy to receive compliments.
After that, I went to see a wrestling show where Actwres girl’Z members were competing. Watching professional wrestling live for the first time was so powerful and amazing, and I was impressed by the way the Actwres girl’Z players looked so sparkling and shining, getting back up after being beaten and beaten and beaten.
I didn’t have any special skills or weapons of my own, so I thought wrestling could be my weapon. I decided to give it a try because I thought I might be able to shine like that.
Pep: Actwres girl’Z stopped being an action focus wrestling company to focus more on the entertainment side. How did you experience that change in the company’s way of working and what did you had to do to adapt?
Miku: I was very confused at first. Even though we were doing it, I couldn’t call it professional wrestling, even though it involved standing in a ring, using professional wrestling techniques, and fighting. I wondered how to get people interested in Actwres girl’Z and how to make it bigger and more popular.
I also felt a sense of responsibility that I had to lead Actwres girl’Z because many of the members had quit due to the change of organization.
I decided to give it a try anyway, and first I thought it was important to showcase the strengths that only Actwres girl’Z has.
Pep: You were the Actwres girl’Z Champion for 292 days in 2023. That was your first Singles Championship. How would you describe your reign and what were the challenges of being the company’s Top Champion?
Miku: I had always wanted to win the singles belt, so this was the moment when one of my dreams came true. I was also very happy that the fans who had been supporting me for so long were so happy, and I wanted to give back to them even more.
Becoming the champion made me feel even more responsible as the ace of Actwres girl’Z. As the first champion, I felt a challenge in raising the value of the belt even higher and to continue my own personal growth.
Pep: You mentioned some time ago that you had no knowledge of wrestling before you decided to become a wrestler. However, your strike-based style is very attractive especially to purists and overseas fans. Could you tell us about how you created the current style of wrestling that you have and if there are any wrestlers that you have as a reference?
Miku: Thank you very much. At first I really didn’t know anything, so I got a lot of advice from Representative Sakaguchi, but I have been strong since I was a child, so I used a lot of power to my advantage.
When I practiced the lariat, I watched many videos of Riki Choshu. Even now, I am still honing and cherishing the techniques that I have been using since my debut.
Since I started receiving instruction from Fuka, I have learned more techniques from her advice and guidance.
Thanks to the advice I received from an objective point of view in addition to what I wanted to do, I was able to create the style I have now.
Pep: You’ve mentioned some time ago that Fuka was the one who gave you the confidence to reach the top of Actwres girl’Z. What is your relationship with her currently like and what do you consider to be the most valuable thing you have learned from her? Was she one of the reasons you decided to leave AWG?
Miku: I have received a lot of guidance from Ms. Fuka, and she is a very encouraging person. The biggest thing I have learned from her is that she has given me confidence. I also admire her strength of mind and energy.
My decision to quit AWG was my own. However, it is thanks to Ms. Fuka that I was able to find my way to Rossy Ogawa and Marigold.
Pep: A few months ago, you surprised the world with your fellow Actwres girl’Z alumni when they appeared alongside Fuka at the end of the Marigold press conference. What expectations do you have for this new stage of your career and what can we expect from Marigold’s Miku Aono?
Miku: Standing in a packed Korakuen Hall at the Marigold’s debut event, I was able to see an amazing view. I am looking forward to a much bigger view and many more encounters in the future. I want to show you all that Miku Aono is the symbol of Marigold.
Pep: Giulia, currently injured, was considered by fans as the wrestler who would have the role of ACE in Marigold. There are others like Utami Hayashishita, MIRAI and Sareee who have indicated their intention to be the ACE. Do you think that you could assume that role and what are you willing to do to achieve it having those possible rivals? Do you have any expectations of having a match with Giulia and what kind of match do you think fans are in for if that were to happen?
Miku: Of course I want to be the Ace. I came here with determination and I think I have to become that.
I am looking forward to the day when I can compete with Giulia. We debuted around the same time, but I felt distant from her, so it’s strange and I’m very happy that we are now in the same organization. I don’t know what the fans expect from me, but I want to have a hot match!
Pep: On Marigold’s most recent shows, you’ve been facing Utami Hayashishita in tag team matches. Fans went crazy over your first interactions. Are you interested in facing her in a singles match at Summer Destiny 2024 or later this year? What kind of match do you think fans are in for if that were to happen?
Miku: Of course, I would like to have a singles match with Utami. But I’m aiming for the United National belt first, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to fight with her yet.
I was very excited when I fought against her twice in tag team matches. I hope I can show you a match that will inspire that kind of feeling.
Pep: Marigold has already presented its Singles Championships and we know that there will also be Tag Team Championships. In AWG you were Champion in both forms. Are you interested in competing for a Singles or Tag Team Championship? In the case of Tag Team, who from Marigold’s current roster would you choose as your partner?
Miku: I want a singles belt first. I came here to make myself shine. I’m not sure about tag team partners right now, but I hope to find someone I want to team up with as the matches go on.
Pep: You’ve competed most of your career in AWG and are now in Marigold, but you’ve also had some matches in Ice Ribbon, Ganbare Pro, and AJPW. In your experience, what difference do you find between these companies and their approach to wrestling?
Miku: I’m sorry, this question is very difficult for me to answer. I’m sure each group has many different points of appeal and personalities, but I don’t know enough about them to speak about them.
Right now I’m hoping that Marigold can come up with our own points of appeal that only Marigold can make shine brightly.
Pep: You have not yet competed outside of Japan and many wrestlers have commented that it is an experience that expands your horizons and allows you to grow as a competitor. Do you have interest in competing in a particular country, for example in America or Europe? Do you want Marigold to perform a show abroad?
Miku: I would love to compete in the U.S.! I have seen many Japanese players in action, so I admire them! I also want to go to Venice, so I would like to compete in Italy! I hope Marigold will go abroad!
Pep: We wanted to know if you have any hobbies or things you like besides wrestling. Could you tell us what a typical day in the life of Miku Aono is like and if there is anything you think is important for your fans to know about you?
Miku: My latest hobby is golf! It feels great to be able to refresh myself in nature!
When I am at home, I like to cook. When I am cooking, I can be mindless, so it relieves my stress. I also like drinking!
Pep: If you could bring any wrestler in the world to compete in a Marigold ring that you haven’t faced yet, who would you choose and why? Do you have any kind of special stipulations you would like for the match?
Miku: I would like to compete against Kairi Sane!
I have never met her, but I have heard a lot about Kairi from the representative of Actwres girl’Z, Mr. Sakaguchi.
Also, my debut match was against Natsumi Maki (now Natsupoi), and on the day of my debut match, Natsumi fought me in a costume that Kairi gave to her, so I feel like she is another debut opponent of mine.
Kairi, I want to feel your energy, your power!
Pep: In AWG you didn’t have the opportunity to be part of a faction. Do you intend to create a new faction in Marigold and if you could do it, who do you think from the current roster could be your first choice for a partner?
Miku: I don’t have a unit in mind at this point! I think it would be nice to have a relationship with someone that I would want to do something with as well as a tag team partner!
Pep: 2024 has been about closing chapters and starting new adventures for you. Could you tell us what your goals are for the second half of the year and how you plan to achieve them?
Miku: First of all, my main goal is to win the (United National) belt. I want more and more people to know about Miku Aono, and I want to become stronger and stronger.
My goal for this year at the beginning of the New Year was to “challenge myself.” At the beginning of the year, I didn’t imagine that it would be such a big challenge, but I am excited because I am sure there is more to my future that I can’t even imagine.
I believe that by pushing forward towards my dreams without fear and by believing in myself, I will be able to open up the future, so I will keep going!
Pep: This is not a question but we wanted to ask you to send a greeting to your fans in Latin America and Spain, countries where Spanish is spoken, who follow your work and who, despite the distance and the language barrier, are happy for you and they want to see you continue growing as a wrestler and as a person.
Miku: Thank you for taking the time to read my interview! I am very happy to be here at Marigold and to be able to make Miku Aono known to people far and wide in this way.
I have taken a new step forward as a professional wrestler. I believe in the infinite possibilities of Marigold. I will try to shine my best, so I would be happy if you could support me.
