Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling está experimentando un recambio generacional en su roster con luchadoras más jóvenes destacando en el ring y en las redes sociales. Una de ellas es Raku, integrante de Up Up Girls! y cuyo personaje siempre entretiene a los fanáticos en la arena.
Antes de EVE x TJPW, próximo show de la compañía en Inglaterra en conjunto con Pro Wrestling Eve, Pep S. Caro tuvo la oportunidad de entrevistar a Raku , quien respondió varias de las preguntas de Pep. Los temas fueron sobre su vínculo con TJPW, su próximo debut en Inglaterra en EVE x TJPW y en Tailandia en SETUP, Up Up Girls!, oponente soñado, su vida personal y mucho más.
Nos gustaría destacar que esta es la primera entrevista que Raku realiza para cualquier medio informativo internacional. Además, de ser la primera vez que participa de una entrevista para un medio informativo en español y sin haber competido en un país en el que se hable ese idioma todavía.

Entrevista con Raku (TJPW): Lo profesional y lo personal (Spanish & English)
Pep: Este año celebraste tu sexto aniversario como luchadora profesional. ¿Podrías decirnos cuándo y por qué decidiste convertirte en luchadora profesional? ¿Qué te motiva actualmente a seguir compitiendo? ¿Qué significa TJPW para ti?
Raku: Todo empezó cuando tenía 19 años, cuando audicioné para Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling). No sabía nada sobre lucha libre profesional, así que pensé que iba a ser una idol, pero luego me di cuenta de que también iba a ser una luchadora profesional. Una de mis motivaciones actuales es competir en el extranjero. TJPW es una gran parte de mi vida misma.
Pep: Este año volverás a competir internacionalmente. En un par de semanas irá al Reino Unido para participar en EVE x TJPW. El próximo mes competirás por el Campeonato Femenino SETUP All Asia en Tailandia. ¿Cuáles son tus expectativas para estos dos eventos en los que debutarás simultáneamente en nuevos países? ¿Qué les espera a los fans que asistan a estos shows?
Raku: Competiré en ambos países por primera vez, así que estoy deseando ver qué tipo de química feliz se producirá en estos combates. Creo que los fans verán combates que nunca antes habían visto, así que espero que disfruten el espectáculo y que también les guste Japón.
Pep: También formas parte del grupo Up Up Girls, por lo que además de entretener a los aficionados con tus combates, también lo haces junto a tus compañeras con un número musical al inicio de cada show. ¿Qué consideras más difícil de ser parte de este grupo? ¿Qué es lo que más disfrutas?
Raku: A veces hay una presentación en vivo de Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) el día antes o el día después de un combate. Físicamente no es un problema, pero es difícil cambiar de modo luchadora a modo idol. TJPW tiene shows en grandes lugares como Ryogoku Kokugikan, y Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) tiene presentaciones en vivo antes de sus combates. Estoy feliz de poder cantar en un gran escenario donde los ídolos comunes y corrientes no pueden hacer presentaciones.
Pep: ¿Podrías contarnos sobre tus aficiones y las cosas que te gusta hacer además de la lucha libre? Además, ¿podrías contarnos cómo es un día normal en tu vida?
Raku: Mis pasatiempos son los trenes, cocinar, los y las idolas y conducir. Normalmente duermo. Esto es para la investigación del sueño para mi movimiento característico llamado “Goodnight Express”.
Pep: Si pudieras traer a cualquier luchadora del mundo para competir contra ti en un combate en un ring de TJPW, ¿a quién elegirías y qué estipulación elegirías? ¿Y por qué esta estipulación?
Raku: Me gustaría tener un combate en Japón con Session Moth Martina, con quien pelearé en el Reino Unido. La regla de que intercambiemos su cerveza y mi almohada y tengamos una pelea sería interesante.
Pep: ¿Tienes algún mensaje para tus fans de Latinoamérica y España, países donde se habla español? Que siguen tu trabajo y que, a pesar de la distancia y la barrera del idioma, están felices por ti y quieren verte seguir creciendo como luchador y como persona.

Pep: This year you celebrated your 6th anniversary as a professional wrestler. Could you tell us when and why you decided to become a professional wrestler? What currently motivates you to continue competing? What does TJPW mean to you?
Raku: It all started when I was 19 years old, when I auditioned for Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling). I didn’t know anything about pro wrestling, so I thought I was going to be an idol, but then I realized I was also going to be a pro wrestler. One of my current motivations is to compete overseas. TJPW is a big part of my life itself.
Pep: This year you will compete internationally again. In a couple of weeks you will go to the United Kingdom to participate in EVE x TJPW. Next month you will compete for the SETUP All Asia Women’s Championship in Thailand. What are your expectations for these two events in which you will simultaneously debut in new countries? What awaits fans who attend these shows?
Raku: Both countries will be competing for the first time, so I am looking forward to seeing what kind of happy chemistry will happen in the match. I think the fans will see matches that they have never seen before, so I hope they will enjoy the show and come to like Japan as well.
Pep: You are also part of the group Up Up Girls, so in addition to entertaining fans with your matches, you also do it together with your teammates with a musical number at the beginning of each show. What do you consider most difficult about being part of this group? What do you enjoy most?
Raku: Sometimes there is Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) live performance the day before or the day after a match. Physically, it is not a problem, but it is hard to switch my mind. TJPW has shows at large venues such as Ryogoku Kokugikan, and Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) has live performances before their matches. I am happy to be able to sing on a big stage where ordinary idols cannot stand.
Pep: Could you tell us about your hobbies and the things you like to do besides wrestling? Also, could you tell us what an ordinary day in your life is like?
Raku: My hobbies are trains, cooking, idols, and driving. I usually sleep. This is for sleep research for my signature move called “Goodnight Express”.
Pep: If you could bring any wrestler in the world to compete against you in a match in a TJPW ring, who would you choose and what stipulation would you choose? And why this stipulation?
Raku: I would like to have a match in Japan with Session Moth Martina, who I will be wrestling in the United Kingdom. The rule that we exchange her beer and my pillow for each other and have a match would be interesting.
Pep: Do you have any message for your fans in Latin America and Spain, countries where Spanish is spoken? Who follow your work and who, despite the distance and the language barrier, are happy for you and want to see you continue growing as a wrestler and as a person.
